Welcome to Nile Ride. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Nile Ride application and services provided by Nile Ride Nigeria Limited ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Please read these Terms carefully before using our services. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our services.

Definitions

• "App" refers to the Nile Ride mobile application.
• "Services" refers to the ride-sharing services provided through the App.
• "User," "you," or "your" refers to any person who accesses or uses our Services.
• "Driver" refers to a User who offers rides through our Services.
• "Rider" refers to a User who requests rides through our Services.

Eligibility

To use our Services, you must:

• Have a valid Nile University email address
• Create an account with accurate information
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

Driver Requirements

If you wish to register as a Driver, you must:

• Possess a valid Nigerian driver's license
• Own or have authorized use of a vehicle that meets our safety standards
• Provide proof of valid vehicle insurance
• Pass our background check
• Maintain a minimum rating as specified in our Driver Guidelines

User Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
• You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we suspect any unauthorized or fraudulent activity.

Service Rules

When using our Services, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information
• Use the Services only for lawful purposes
• Not engage in any harmful, abusive, or disruptive behavior
• Not discriminate against other users based on race, religion, gender, etc.
• Not use our Services for commercial purposes without our express consent
• Comply with all traffic laws and regulations when using our Services

Payments

• Riders agree to pay the fare shown in the App for each ride. Payment can be made through the App using the available payment methods or in cash directly to the Driver.
• We charge a service fee for each completed ride. The current fee structure is available in the App.
• All payments are subject to applicable taxes as required by Nigerian law.

Cancellations

Both Riders and Drivers may cancel a ride subject to our Cancellation Policy. Excessive cancellations may result in penalties, including account suspension.

Ratings and Reviews

Users can rate and review each other after a ride. These ratings help maintain the quality of our community. Users with consistently low ratings may have their accounts suspended or terminated.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of our Services.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or our Services shall not exceed the amount paid by you to us during the six (6) months preceding the date of the claim.

Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or our Services shall be resolved through amicable negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, it shall be referred to arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, Cap A18, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the updated Terms on our App and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of our Services after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.
